Title: WIA Youth Employment Senior Coordinator
Full-Time or Part-Time/Hrs per wk: Full-time

Brief Description: Leads and coordinates the WIA Youth Employment program, which includes developing and implementing a high quality successful program.  The Sr. Coordinator recruits and interviews youth, as well as provides individual and group services related to job, career and college coaching for participants.  The Sr. Coordinator also develops relationships with stakeholders, especially employers to ensure that our youth can gain employment outside of Howard Area.

Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or minimum of 4 years of experience working with underserved children and families of various cultural/ethnic backgrounds.  Experience working in job development or for a WIA program is a plus.  Experience working with high school youth, ages 16-18, is preferred.

Brief Description:
*Research funding prospects (foundations, et al)
*Update and maintain foundation and corporation databases (MS Excel and Access preferred)
*Research and organize data sources to support proposals
* Gather information from program staff and write grant-funder reports
* Assist with writing, editing and publishing quarterly e-newsletters
*Take photos of program participants and events as needed
*Assist with organizing special event fundraisers, as directed by Development Staff
*Perform other administrative/clerical tasks assigned by Development Staff

Brief Description: Facilitate early learning experiences and continuity of care for a classroom of toddlers or two-year-olds, in a setting designed to meet the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of young children. Develop and maintain a respectful relationship with families and coworkers. Assume responsibility for the optimal functioning of the classroom.

Requirements & Qualifications: AA degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development;  3 years experience in an infant-toddler setting; Certification in CPR and First Aid (pediatric and adult); fluently bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is strongly preferred.
